ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.08 OF THE RENO MUNICIPAL CODE, ENTITLED "ZONING", REZONING A ±7.04 ACRE SITE LOCATED NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF WELLS AVENUE AND WINSTON DRIVE from ±3.43 acres of Mixed Use/University of Nevada Regional Center Planning Overlay Zoning District/Open Space (MU/UNRC/OS) and ±3.36 acres of Mixed Use/University of Nevada Regional Center Planning Overlay Zoning District /Residential Area (MU/UNRC/RA) to ±6.79 acres of Multi-family – 30 units per acre (MF30) and ±0.25 acres of Open Space (OS); TOGETHER WITH MATTERS WHICH PERTAIN TO OR ARE NECESSARILY CONNECTED THERETO.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENO DOES ORDAIN:

 

SECTION 1. Chapter 18.08 of the Reno Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section to be known as Section 18.08.102(b).1392 relating to a ±7.04 acre site located north of the intersection of Wells Avenue and Winston Drive and more particularly described in the attached "Exhibit A" and rezoning said property from ±3.43 acres of Mixed Use/University of Nevada Regional Center Planning Overlay Zoning District/Open Space (MU/UNRC/OS) and ±3.36 acres of Mixed Use/University of Nevada Regional Center Planning Overlay Zoning District /Residential Area (MU/UNRC/RA) to ±6.79 acres of Multi-family – 30 units per acre (MF30) and ±0.25 acres of Open Space (OS), the same to read as follows:

 

Sec. 18.08.102(b). 1392. The zoning of the City of Reno as heretofore established is hereby amended in the manner shown on the map labeled Case No. LDC20-00025, thereby changing the use of land indicated therein, relating to a ±7.04 acre site located north of the intersection of Wells Avenue and Winston Drive and more particularly described in the attached "Exhibit A", and rezoning said property from ±3.43 acres of Mixed Use/University of Nevada Regional Center Planning Overlay Zoning District/Open Space (MU/UNRC/OS) and ±3.36 acres of Mixed Use/University of Nevada Regional Center Planning Overlay Zoning District /Residential Area (MU/UNRC/RA) to ±6.79 acres of Multi-family – 30 units per acre (MF30) and ±0.25 acres of Open Space (OS).

SECTION 2.   This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage, adoption and publication in one issue of a newspaper printed and published in the City of Reno, and upon approval of the Master Plan Amendment by the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Agency for Case No. LDC20-00025 (LIV+  Master Plan and Zoning Map Amendments).

SECTION 3.  The City Clerk and Clerk of the City Council of the City of Reno is hereby authorized and directed to have this Ordinance published in one issue of the Reno-Gazette Journal, a newspaper printed and published in the City of Reno.
