Staff Report (For Possible Action): Case No. LDC18-00002 (Firecreek Crossing Master Plan Amendment) Request for certification of the Firecreek Crossing Master Plan amendment. The ±12.2 acre site is located between Redfield Parkway/Kumle Lane and Kietzke Lane, ±450 feet west of South Virginia Street. The site is within the Mixed Use/Convention Regional Center (MU/CRC) zone.

Recommendation and Proposed Motion

Recommendation:  Staff recommends City Council certification of the amendments to the Master Plan.

 

Proposed Motion:  I move that the City Council certify the Master Plan Amendment to the Convention Regional Center Plan from the General Mixed Use sub-designation to the Tourist Commercial sub-designation on the ±12.2 acre subject site.

 

Staff Report Formal Body

Summary:  In accordance with NRS 278.210, the Firecreek Crossing Master Plan Amendment is before Council for certification.  Per NRS 278.210, any amendment to the Master Plan adopted by the Planning Commission must be certified by the governing body.  On November 28, 2017, the Master Plan amendment was reviewed and approved by the Regional Planning Commission as to its conformance with the Regional Plan.  The property is located between Redfield Parkway/Kumle Lane and Kietzke Lane, ±450 feet west of South Virginia Street and consists of ±12.2 acres.  Staff recommends Council certify the Master Plan Amendment.

 

Previous Council Action:

October 25, 2017              Council approved the Master Plan Amendment to the Convention Regional Center Plan from the General Mixed Use sub-designation to the Tourist Commercial sub-designation on the ±12.2 acre site.

 

October 11, 2017              Council continued the public hearing to October 25, 2017.
