Staff Report (For Possible Action): Ordinance Introduction - Bill No. ________ Case No. LDC17-00009 (StoneGate PUD Zoning Map Amendment) Ordinance to amend Title 18, Chapter 18.08 of the Reno Municipal Code, entitled "Zoning," (1) rezoning four parcels totaling ±1,378 acres located southwest of the US-395/White Lake Parkway interchange, south of the US-395/Frontage Road and east of Sto Lat Lane and two parcels totaling ±359.90 acres located on the northwest side of the intersection of US-395 and White Lake Parkway from ±1,034.93 acres of Industrial Commercial (IC), ±118.59 acres of Unincorporated Transition-40 acres (UT40), ±412.34 acres of Large Lot Residential - 1 acre (LLR1), ±52.44 acres of Arterial Commercial (AC), and ±119.6 acres of Open Space (OS) to Planned Unit Development (PUD); and (2) tentative approval of the associated PUD handbook; together with other matters properly relating thereto.

ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.08 OF THE RENO MUNICIPAL CODE, ENTITLED "ZONING," (1) REZONING FOUR PARCELS TOTALING ±1,378 ACRES LOCATED SOUTHWEST OF THE US-395/WHITE LAKE PARKWAY INTERCHANGE, SOUTH OF THE US-395/FRONTAGE ROAD AND EAST OF STO LAT LANE AND TWO PARCELS TOTALING ±359.90 ACRES LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF THE INTERSECTION OF US-395 AND WHITE LAKE PARKWAY FROM ±1,034.93 ACRES OF INDUSTRIAL COMMERCIAL (IC), ±118.59 ACRES OF UNINCORPORATED TRANSITION-40 ACRES (UT40), ±412.34 ACRES OF LARGE LOT RESIDENTIAL - 1 ACRE (LLR1), ±52.44 ACRES OF ARTERIAL COMMERCIAL (AC), AND ±119.6 ACRES OF OPEN SPACE (OS) TO PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD); AND (2) TENTATIVE APPROVAL OF THE ASSOCIATED PUD HANDBOOK; TOGETHER WITH OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENO DO ORDAIN:

 

SECTION 1. Chapter 18.08 of the Reno Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section to be known as Section 18.08.102(b).1354 relating to: (1) four parcels totaling ±1,378 acres located southwest of the US-395/White Lake Parkway interchange, south of the US-395/Frontage Road and east of Sto Lat Lane and two parcels totaling ±359.90 acres located on the northwest side of the intersection of US-395 and White Lake Parkway and more particularly described in the attached "Exhibit A" and rezoning said property from ±1,034.93 acres of Industrial Commercial (IC), ±118.59 acres of Unincorporated Transition-40 Acres (UT40), ±412.34 acres of Large Lot Residential - 1 acre (LLR1), ±52.44 acres of Arterial Commercial (AC), and ±119.6 acres of Open Space (OS) to Planned Unit Development (PUD); and (2) tentative approval of the associated PUD Handbook, the same to read as follows:

Sec. 18.08.102(b).1354.  The zoning of the City of Reno as heretofore established is hereby amended in the manner shown on the map labeled Case No. LDC17-00009, thereby changing the use of land indicated therein, relating to: (1) four parcels totaling ±1,378 acres located southwest of the US-395/White Lake Parkway interchange, south of the US-395/Frontage Road and east of Sto Lat Lane and two parcels totaling ±359.90 acres located on the northwest side of the intersection of US-395 and White Lake Parkway and more particularly described in the attached "Exhibit A", and rezoning said property from ±1,034.93 acres of Industrial Commercial (IC), ±118.59 acres of Unincorporated Transition-40 Acres (UT40), ±412.34 acres of Large Lot Residential - 1 acre (LLR1), ±52.44 acres of Arterial Commercial (AC), and ±119.6 acres of Open Space (OS) to Planned Unit Development (PUD); and (2) tentative approval of the associated PUD Handbook.

 

SECTION 2.  This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage, adoption and publication in one issue of a newspaper printed and published in the City of Reno, and upon approval of the Master Plan Amendments by the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Agency for Case No. LDC17-00008 (StoneGate Master Plan Amendment).

 

SECTION 3.  The City Clerk and Clerk of the City Council of the City of Reno is hereby authorized and directed to have this Ordinance published in one issue of the RenoGazette Journal, a newspaper printed and published in the City of Reno.
